Leucine is an essential amino acid, which we are required to obtain from either food or supplementation. It is also one of the three Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) along with Isoleucine and Valine. It has recently become one of the most popular supplements, due to its inclusion in BCAA and Post-Workout supplements. Leucine can be found in any high-protein foods. The foods highest in L-Leucine are red meat and dairy products. Supplements such as Whey and Egg Protein are also good sources.
