Payment Authorizations
Payment Authorizations
At Nutricity.com.au, when you place an order, we request an authorisation from your bank or card issuer to reserve funds until your payment is fully processed or the authorisation expires.
Some banks refer to these authorisations as "pending" or "processing" charges. After an order is placed, Nutricity contacts your issuing bank to confirm that the payment method is valid and that sufficient funds are available.
Most banks hold these authorisations for up to 7 business days. If you are using a prepaid card, authorisations may be held for a longer period. For exact timeframes or policies regarding authorisations, please contact your bank or card issuer directly.
Important Notes:
- When you place your first order with us, we may contact your card-issuing bank to verify that your card is valid and has not been reported lost or stolen. This may appear as a small $1.00 authorisation hold on your statement, but it is not an actual charge.
- This $1.00 authorisation is temporary and will automatically expire within 10 business days without appearing as a charge.
- It is not uncommon for a card authorisation attempt to fail once or twice before eventually being authorised by the issuing bank.
- If there is any difficulty authorising your card, we will notify you via email so you can update your payment method if needed.
If you have any questions regarding pending charges or authorisations on your card, we recommend contacting your bank for detailed information specific to your account.
