Aluminum powder is used in traditional food processing, and in home pickling to add crispiness. When pickling, use 1oz of alum powder to 1 gallon of water. Alum powder can also be used as a drying aid by helping with body odors. It can be directly applied to perspiring areas prone to body odor, including the feet.
